Remembrance Sunday

By Fiona Burrows - District Commissioner.

Join the rest of the District, and others across the County, to mark Remembrance Sunday, in a slightly different way to usual.

Once again we are back in lockdown and no face to face Scouting can currently be carried out including attending Remembrance Day events as Scouts and Scouters. Earlier this year, members across the District and County took part in the #ScoutsClapForCarers to mark St George’s Day. We thought it would be fantastic to try and do something similar which would help us reflect and remember members of our nations Armed Forces. We are encouraging Rushcliffe members and their families, both young and old, to wear their Uniforms and to stand on their doorsteps holding their own 2 minute silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday.

Prior to this, there will be a Remembrance Sunday video premiering on our YouTube Channel at 10.45 (link will be posted soon).
